The UP Advantage:
You have three programs to choose from, the Mat certification, The Comprehensive or the Bridge Program. The University of Pilates is committed to providing the highest standard of education. We are also committed to you. This state-of-the-art education experience is designed with you in mind. We know that it is a huge commitment to becoming a Pilates teacher, with UP you will experience a hybrid learning model that you can fit into your schedule. You will also be part of 1 to 3 in-person learning experiences (depending on what program you select) that support you as a teacher and surround you with your community.

Mat Program
This program goes above the industry standard of a mat certification. This program is designed to give you all the skills, knowledge and tools to become the best teacher you can be. This 125-hour program gives you everything you need to get started now.

Comprehensive Program
This is a deep dive program into the Classical Pilates Method. This 600-hour program takes you on the journey of the Mat, Reformer, Wunda chair, Cadillac/Tower and small apparatus. This program gives you up to a year to complete and looks at the system of the Pilates Method.

Bridge Program
This is a 375-hour program that you have up to one year to complete. The Classical Bridge program is for those who are already certified but are looking to expand their knowledge and skills in the Classical Method. In this program, we will learn from where you have been, and add the knowledge to where you are going.

We are also including some additional topics in the teacher training that are current and relevant to today’s world. We are talking about how to take care of the teacher, avoid burnout, business post-pandemic, how to pivot and how to unlock your most creative self.

Our UP faculty are highly skilled Pilates teachers and industry influencers – we recognize that Pilates education needs to evolve and this program is an evolution for you to succeed.
Our faculty has over 30 years of teaching experience combined, but you also have access to an in-house life coach, another amazing resource to support you on your journey.
